When people find out that I’m an Australian Recognised Nutritionist, Women’s Health Coach, and Perimenopause Specialist, they usually assume I’ve always had it all figured out.

I wish! A few years ago, I found myself sitting exactly where you might be right now…frustrated, exhausted, and genuinely baffled by my own body.

In my early 40s, despite two decades of knowledge and experience in health and nutrition…

I gained 12kg that wouldn’t budge, no matter how hard I tried.

I put it down to breastfeeding at first…but even after I stopped, my body didn’t bounce back.

My sleep was broken, my brain was foggy, my moods were all over the place, and I kept doing everything I’d always done because “surely it would kick in eventually.”

Spoiler alert: It didn’t.

What I eventually discovered was that my body had moved into a chronic stress response.

A low-level fight or flight state that was throwing my hormones out of balance and making every symptom worse.

And the harder I pushed with diet and exercise, the more I was actually feeding it.

Once I understood that, and what to do instead, everything clicked.

I lost all 12 kilos while eating more food than I ever had in my life, my sleep improved, my energy returned, and the mood swings stopped altogether.

Finally, I had this steady, calm energy I hadn’t felt in years.

And I did all of it while still eating meals I loved, travelling, exercising in ways that felt good rather than punishing, and enjoying a full and fun social life.

That’s what I now teach other women to do!

In the last 3 years alone, I’ve helped over 280 women aged 35 to 55 lose at least one dress size and feel like their best selves again.

And some of them had been trying to fix this for years before they found me.

Nadean went from spending $300/month on supplements and feeling constantly exhausted…

To losing 20kg, dropping 3 dress sizes, and sleeping through the night within 6 months.

Samia spent 5 years stuck despite eating well and exercising consistently…

In just 3 months, she dropped a pant size and lost cm’s from her waist, hips, and thighs, even while travelling and socialising.

A bit more about me…

My path to this work has been anything but linear, which I think is exactly why I’m good at it.

I completed my degree in Bologna, Italy (the food capital of Italy, which felt very on brand,) toured the country as an actor, then spent years travelling and studying yoga and Ayurveda in India.

I went on to found two of Sydney’s most prestigious yoga schools, which I built from scratch with $10,000 and sold in 2019 before shifting my focus fully to women’s hormonal health.

In 2019, I was hit by a car and left unable to walk for 6 months, with a permanent fracture in my pelvis. Rebuilding everything from the ground up was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through, but it also taught me more about resilience, mindset, and the body’s capacity to recover than anything else in my life.

I now run, dance, and swim in the ocean year-round, and have a daily yoga practice I’ve maintained for over 20 years.

And yes, I’ll absolutely still be on a dance floor given half the chance!

Because if you ask me, life’s too short and too interesting to spend it feeling less than your best.
